Location: Pasadena, CA Type: Renovation Awards: 2018 “Architectural Portfolio Award – Outstanding Design” American School and University for AGBU Vatche & Tamar Manoukian High School Performing Arts CenterWe were the Architect, Theatre Consultant and Acoustician for the adaptive reuse of the high school church sanctuary into a performance center and student activity center with support spaces. This 23,000 sf space will house a main theatre as well as a multi-purpose/banquet room with a stage and performance lighting. New dressing rooms, a green room and storage supplement the back stage below. A new kitchen serves the banquets. New public restrooms are added to the lobby along with meeting rooms. This building will receive LEED Silver certification and has finished construction in Sept. 2017.
