Construction Has Begun on Discovery Science Center Addition Phase

In 2008, as architect, theatre consultant and acoustician, we started to design this 70,000 sq. ft. addition to the existing center containing a food court, exhibit spaces, 500-seat flexible black box theatre convertible to an exhibit space with telescoping seating and a 330 car parking structure. The design was an AIA “Design Award” winner in 2010. This LEED Gold design also contains photovoltaic cells on the southerly portions of the theatre.

Construction began on January 2, 2014.
