We were the Joint Venture Architect and Theatre Consultant for the replacement of the 74,000 sf Garfield Auditorium featured in the Movie “Stand and Deliver” as well as the connected administration/classroom building.
The 1300 seat state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center consists of a 2,000 sf dual-use dance studio and a black box theatre. We were able to incorporate some of the historical motifs in the theatre which was of great importance to the school. This is a CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance School Project). Construction was completed in April 2014 for the final construction cost of $54,000,000.
