As the Associated Architect Theatre Consultant and Acoustician, we were tasked with the renovation of a former lecture hall into a small multi-use theatre. This feat was accomplished by reconfiguring the floor slope and adding a stage. Additionally, the ceiling was removed to increase reverberation time and convex corrugated wall panels were installed to prevent overlapping sound waves. Moving drapes were added along the side walls to allow adjustment to the reverberation time as needed for voice or music performances.

This competition winning 5 studio dance complex contains 1 studio doubling as a performance space with a 150-seat telescoping seating section. The project earned a LEED Silver Certificate.
