Shady Side Academy Master Planning/ & Performing Arts Center

We were the Associated Architect, Theatre Consultant, Acoustician and Facilitator for the design of the master plan for the expansion of the academy’s senior school and separately, for the design of a 37,000 sq. ft. high school performing arts center for a private boarding school.

The center includes a 650-seat theatre, 150-seat black box theatre, band room, choral room, video studio and theatre support spaces.  The 650-seat audience chamber can be reduced in size to 300 seats for more intimate drama & dance productions.
